Timmy Vegas And Bad Lay Dee - Another Dimension

I was driving home last night after a very long week. I was tired, exhausted and not feeling too great. then I heard a song on the radio that instantly picked me right back up again.

As you may have guessed by the title of this post, the artist is Timmy Vegas and the track is called Another Dimension. Timmy Vegas is one half of Soul Central who are probably most well-known for their Strings Of Life release a few years back. He’s also a DJ, a Scorpio and a poker player which means we both share a lot in common. Well, three things.

This track is not due out until around the 12th January, but I’ve managed to get my hands on a pre-release promo that I will be throwing into my January mix in 2009.

It’s an all-out sample-fest mash-up that ‘borrows’ inspiration from Crystal Waters - Gypsy Woman and Beastie Boys- Intergalatic with additional vocals by Bad Lay Dee.

I’ve been asked to do a mash-up remix for the show and it should be getting some airplay this Sunday night. Once it has been played out I will be uploading it ot the site.

KissFM is London’s biggest and most popular dance music radio station. Every Sunday is Kisstory on KissFM with resident DJ Streetboy, playing out club classics from mid to late nineties. Streetboy has played out one of my mash-up tunes this week and put myself on the air. Ministry of Sound - The Mash Up Mix

Today Ministry of Sound releases an album that I have been waiting for expectantly for a very long time. The Mash Up Mix, expertly mixed by the Cut Up Boys (Radio 1) is a double CD of the finest mash-ups around. A double album dedicated to the art of the bootleg, it sets new heights for standards of mixing and is higly reccomended.
